WAIT!

Yesterday I had a ball. It was 77 degrees outside and the sun was shining. My dad asked me to come over so we could talk about the book we are writing and so we could eat dinner. He said because it was so nice he was going to put some steak on the grill. I was in for a treat.

While I was eating my salad I began to get impatient. I wanted the steak..BAD. I kept asking when was it going to be done?! I kept asking what’s taking so long?! My dad reassured me he knew what he was doing and he was going to give me the steak when it was ready. He told me to trust him because he has done this before. Immediately I felt God speak to me.

What are you praying for today? Is it something new that you are “starving for”. I’m here to tell you right now to be patient. Your Father God has your back. He knows when what your waiting for will be ready. He knows if it needs more time to cook and he knows when its just right. All you have to do is sit back and be patient. God is not stupid and this isn’t his first rodeo. He knows just what you need.

Another thing is, while your eating you will not starve! I was hollering from the kitchen at a table eating my salad. It’s not like I had an empty plate and a glass of water chilling on my table. I was already being fed even if it wasn’t what I really really wanted. I ask you today. What has God given you while you wait for the big thing you have been asking for? Sometimes we don’t realize we are in a transitioning season and the thing we are doing now is being used to pass time until whatever we want is ready for us to get.

This week I challenge you to relax at your table. Be thankful for what you have now and trust that your Father is coming with what you really want. If I got the steak before it was ready, I wouldn’t like it because I like mine well done. Don’t rush God to the point where he gives you that job, man/woman, city, book, ministry and it’s not what you really want because its not ready! Sit back and relax in your NOW; he’s got the details laid out already for later.

I love you all and I pray you have a blessed week. Send all questions comments and concerns to kyliestores@yahoo.com. Get a copy of my book God Set Me Up today and leave your email below so you can sign up for updates on my new book. Have a blessed Sunday!

Be Consistent!

Consistency. Dictornary.com defines consistency as the following:
1.
degree of density, firmness, viscosity, etc.:
2.
steadfast adherence to the same principles, course, form, etc.:
3.
agreement, harmony, or compatibility, especially correspondence or uniformity among the parts of a complex thing:
4.
the condition of cohering or holding together and retaining form; solidity or firmness.

I especially like definitions 2 and 3. What does consistency look like in your life? Do you consider yourself a consistent person? Me writing this blog after 13 hrs of work is something God told me to be consistent in. No matter what I do on Sundays, I know it’s my God given task to write my blog for YOU the reader.
What area of your life is God calling you to be consistent in? It could be in prayer, love, your family, a task he told you to do. Whatever it is, I advise you to get consistent now. Many of you may feel like because it’s the 24th of a new year it’s too late. You are wrong! God gives us a fresh start EVERYDAY. Take the time now to start all the way over and be CONSISTENT.
Here’s the thing, if we can’t be consistent with a few things God has graced us with, why do you think he will overflow us with increase? There are many things I’m asking God for but if I can’t get these little things in order now, God won’t just hand me over a blessing because in all honestly I’m not ready. Why add things to your plate when you didn’t finish the first one?
This week I challenge you to write down the areas in your life in which you want to be more consistent. Write me and let me know how it goes. Ultimately, show yourself approved to our God. He may have a blessing right behind you, he’s just waiting on your consistency!
I love you and have a blessed week. I pray you had a blessed Sunday. Send prayer request to kyliestores@yahoo.com. If you know any short film makers, bloggers, or illustrators or if YOU are one email me ASAP at kyliestores@yahoo.com. Any other comments or concerns email me as well. Lastly if you are in the Dallas are let me know! Don’t forget to order a copy of my book while you are here. God bless.

If you need something from him..ASK!

Every time my heart is burdened I cry out to God and he sends a breakthrough. I cried my heart out in some major ways last year and almost immediately, he changed my situation. What does that look like for you? Have you ever been there before? I’m actually crying out for something major not concerning me but concerning a family member. What am I going to do? Pray my heart out, cry my heart out, and wait on the Lord.

I know I’m not the only one who has needed something BIG from God. I’m not just taking about material possessions either. I’m talking about you needing him in your situation to make changes. It’s a scary feeling not to have control and its even scarier to not know the outcome. The thing that is getting me though is memory. I remember when I asked for specific things in 2015, they came to pass.  Even this year I asked God to make me comfortable in my new city and I’ve been sleeping like a baby ever since. So what’s different about this year? The same God that got me through then can surely get me through now. The same goes for you. If he has done just one good thing for you, think of that thing and use that memory to help you in your current season. From weight loss to salvation, if he did it before he can do it again. Also remember if he did it for somebody else, he can surely do it for you. Hang in there and cry out. Your closer than you think!

Happy Sunday. I’m sad my Steelers lost but there is always next year. Hopefully by then so much has changed for the better for ALL of our situations. We just have to endure now. It’s only the 17th day of the year. If you’re having trouble getting in the groove of things, start NOW. You have plenty of time to get it right. If you have any questions, concerns, or comments email me ASAP and if you are a graphic designer or you draw very well email me as well. Also if you have any film experience email me. All to kyliestores@yahoo.com. I love you and so does the Lord. Give him your all. Give him your life. Hes coming back soon. He’s worth it!

What if God gives you an extra 30 yards?

1/10/2016

Are you ready for the extra 30 yards God is giving you? What I noticed is I asked God for a lot in 2015 and for 2016. Last year he gave me things I could not imagine. Once I got them I got somewhat nervous because I wasn’t as prepared as I could or should have been. Have you ever been there? If your waiting on a blessing, hang in there.

Yesterday the Steelers played the Beangles (I don’t know if its spelled right and I don’t care because I’m black and yellow all day), and they were winning by 5 points with under two minutes to play. The Steelers did not have the ball. What happened; we got the ball back due to a fumble on their end, and we had a few chances to make it down the field to score. The only problem was; we were on the opposite side pretty far away from our goal. Many of you are like the Steelers, you are far away from your goal and you may see the finish line but you’re not sure if you can make it. Some of you are not even preparing yourself because it seems so far away.

Well they ended up making it to at least the 40 yard line with seconds to go and do you know what happened? Because of the Beangles attitude, hard playing, and rough demeanor, they were charged with two penalties and 30 yards were given to the Steelers. They were elevated from the 40-yard line their own 35 yard line roughly and guess what, Boswell kicked a field goal and the Steelers won the game.  That’s not the point I want you to understand though. What did the Steelers do with the extra 30 yards they were given? Did they play around and do a few plays that made no sense? NO. Did they think wow I don’t know if I have a chance even with this help? NO. Did they still look at the situation as an impossible one? NO. They used what God gave them and took themselves another step closer to the SuperBowl.

May I suggest that God has you on the winning team. God has you in position to make it very far. God is getting ready to advance you but you must be ready. Don’t ask God for a car but don’t take the time to budget your money to keep it. Don’t ask God for a personal trainer and neglect to learn how to eat right. Don’t ask God to advance you and neglect researching your responsibilities you are going to have to put forth. I’m literally writing this blog in another city I will be in for four months with my entire ceiling is leaking. I would usually cry or act like a fool because this thing could break at any moment. What am I deciding to do though? Chill out. You know why? Because before I moved down here I had a list of 4 places I could live that was within my budget. If I have to up and leave due to this ceiling issue, I can.  God gave me the gift of organization and using my resources well. That’s my extra 30 yards. Will I sit here and waste life crying? NO. I’ll move if I have to, continue on with my stay here in Dallas, and let God give me peace.

Get ready because your extra 30 are coming sooner than you think. I love you and you are in my prayers. Send any request, comments, concerns, to kyliestores@yahoo.com. Pray for me and my ceiling haa and get a copy of my book God Set Me Up. It will bless you.
Love,
Kylie

This year I have so many plans for God Set Me Up. I plan to send out monthly newsletters so send your email to me or leave it below to be added. I'm also challenging you to get serious about your relationship with Christ. He is literally the only way and I am sure if we put him first we WILL make major strides this year.

That leads me to my announcement. I moved from Pittsburgh to Dallas to start travel nursing. If you have attended my bible study you know what kind of atmosphere we set. I still want to do them so this opens up the door for everyone to get involved! I am looking to do them over Periscope which is a live broadcast app. Download the app and add me (@godsetmeup) so you can be apart of the live experience. In there I will be talking about prayer life, bible study, tips for studying the bible, and our overall walk with Christ.

Do you have a suggestion fro God Set Me Up? If so pleaseee send it to me at kyliestores@yahoo.com or leave a comment below. Sorry I didn't get to blog in so long but trust and believe that this year will be our best yet! Don't forget to get a copy of my book and be on the lookout for my new release late this year :).
