This past weekend I had three sit downs/get-togethers with my friends. Each interaction was different and I left feeling better. I left feeling better in Christ. One of my friends reminded me of the verse Proverbs 27:17 As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another and I honestly can say that summarized my week/weekend. Every convo I felt convicted, helped, prayed for, and closer to Christ. I say that to say, who is in your corner to sharpen you? Our connections are important because we can leave feeling drained, tired, and out of touch with life from others. The reality is our friends we connect with on a daily basis should leave us feeling empowered.
This week I challenge you to get sharpened by those around you. You need to also work on sharpening others. If you realize there is no one who can do this for you, you have a problem. We need to be there for each other spiritually. If you have no one to pray for you or help you with the word, you need to pray God sends you Godly people to your life. A little pep talk from another believe goes a long way, and there is no better feeling like being sharpened. I am praying this can be accomplished for you.
I love you and I pray you have a blessed week. In October it will make 2 years since this blog! I am so grateful to God for trusting me with this. With that being said, I am transitioning out to once a month blogging. My life is shifting dramatically. I want to offer guest bloggers an opportunity to write for me so if that is you email me ASAP. Also I am creating a success panel for high school students. If you would like to spend a day speaking to this population, email me asap. Have a blessed week!
