I know I am growing because the old me would have moved the barricades myself and drove anyway. I also wanted to get into it with the officer talking about my sticker’s being as though they had NOTHING to do with what was happening. I got upset and then I felt the Holy Spirit telling me: hold your peace. First off, the race was going to be over soon and I was still on time for church. The second thought that came to me was I don’t wanna go on a high speed chase on a Sunday morning all in the name of being defiant; God don’t like ugly. The third thing was the fact that all of this happened RIGHT after I prayed over my entire week and there were specific things pertaining to those prayers that shed light in those moments with that office and the situation. That was conformation that God heard me and he was waiting to see how I would respond even after I prayed and asked for his blessing over my days this week.
So what are you going through? God may be challenging you and he may be pushing you to hold your peace. Many things happen to us and we are ready to flip out. We want our way and we want to let everyone know we are not to be messed with. We also pout and get angry and all God is saying is keep calm I got you. Our Pastor preached about emotions today and how we should take a different look at our situations because it may simply be a test. It may also be a reason to praise him even if you don’t see how it’s going to work out.
This week I challenge you to hold your peace and know God is working it out for your good even if life has you “blocked in”. Before you cuss and go off, praise and sing out to God he’s got your back.
I love you and I'm praying for you. Have a blessed week. Get your copy of my book God Set Me Up from this site and leave any questions, comments, concerns on the various pages and I will get back to you.
