I couldn’t help but to think, the same situation applies for us when it comes to this Christian walk. When we fall down, we get up but life continues. We can tend to our injuries of life but that doesn’t stop the game of life. How many times have you let a situation stop you? Then when people keep replaying and replaying the situation, it makes things worse. I literally screamed at the TV because I was tired of hearing them talk about how Big Ben was hurt. I wanted them to move on. We need to scream at ourselves and learn to move on from things, especially if God is telling us to do so. We also need to realize we don’t know the outcome. They said Big Ben would be out for the rest of the game. That doesn’t mean the rest of the season. Later tonight we may hear otherwise, but we can deal with it then. For now, we continue to play. How many times have you counted yourself out for a season when God said I'm only sitting you down for a month. God can have that thing you want so bad on hold for a moment and because you are too impatient and discouraged, you can’t even realize it.
We also must take time ensure we are in position. Michael Vick had to jump in immediately and play as if he has been playing all season. They don’t care that he has only played in the preseason; he must be ready for today. If God moves things out the way, and patches up your injury will you even be ready to receive what you have been praying for? Are you in position to being that that person you know God has called you to be? God spoke to me again midway through this blog as the game continued. One of our players got an interception. He was in position. Because he was where he needed to be and the other player was not, he made the major difference. Don’t worry who’s on the left or right of you, make sure your ready.
I don’t know what you are going through or what injuries you are experiencing right now, but make sure you don’t get stuck in the mess you’re in and get in position to move on and come out victorious. Needless to say we won the game meaning we didn’t need to keep looking back at what happened, pressing forward got us the win. We didn’t need to worry about who was helping us more forward as long as they were in position. It was a hard fought game and we only won by 6 points. If you keep your eye on what matters, God will make a way.
