The big blue slide that seemed so big to me back when I was young, looked really small now that I am older. It still looked fun, but it didn’t seem like the largest thing I had ever seen. I didn’t feel intimidated by it and I felt that it was something that wasn’t as significant as it used to be. There are times when things in our life represent the big blue slide. For you, it could represent something that you were once afraid of that no longer intimidates you now that you are older. For others, it may represent something that used to seem so heavy on your life, but now that you have grown and matured it isn’t so bad. For me in this season of my life, it represents struggles like temptation and other woes that I used to think were hard to overcome, and now that I am maturing in the spirit I am completely better and that “big thing” doesn’t quite seem so big any more.
Whatever it is for you, I pray that this week you can see how much you have grown. Be happy at the fact that things that used to seem big to you are now minor and you can conquer them. I pray you realize that God is moving in your life and as he grows you, you will have the ability to look back and understand just how he was enabling you to take on everything; the big and the small.
