The one “C” I forgot. If you follow this blog, last December I wrote about how my friends and I would joke about our future spouses and the fact it is necessary they have 3C’s: cash, car/crib, career (well 4C’s J). I talked about the importance of making sure we had the 3P’s ourselves before looking for a C in a man which is prayer, peace, and purpose. I've been in such transitions from what I want in a spouse to focusing on what I want in myself. I realize there is nothing wrong with the C’s before, but we were missing the main one..CHRIST! He needs the Christ in him but more importantly I need the Christ in ME.
I have been feeling the need to worship God. I want to make it all about him. In church today our Pastor talked about the fact that completing goals and dreams means nothing if you don’t have love and God. We need to ask God for his love and glory rather than ask him to reveal his purpose to us even if he has major plans for us. Going back to the C’s, Christ is the most important and only C I can see (lol) right now. I don’t want anything else but to praise him.
How did we get from praising his name and giving thanks to asking for what we want and being done with God? We all know those people that ask ask ask but then leave us alone. In reality, that’s how we treat God. Since I'm honest, I can admit I've been in the asking spirit lately specifically about my true purpose and I hear the Holy Spirit telling me enough is enough. God know the plans he has for me, I just need to relax in him, spend time with him, and he will reveal it when he sees fit. For now it’s all about his glory. He’s so worth it.
We can ask for a car, cash, crib, all day but if we don’t have Christ that’s it. It means nothing and everything we have is in vain. This week I challenge you to get back to your Christ. He misses YOU. God loves us so and we need to show him love and respect no matter if he gives us our desires or not. I'm sure he will open doors and that is good but in reality he does not have to do it. Whatever he choose is fine, he simply deserves our praise.
I love you and I am so excited to be approaching a year since my book God Set Me Up came out. Get your copy NOW on this site or if our in the area DM me on IG (@prettykylie) and I will meet you with one. Leave me comments and request so I can see how this blog has blessed you. Have a blessed week.
