This past weekend I read an amazing book. It was very insightful on marriage and relationships. The main point of it was simply to inform the reader what to do in their stage of singleness and how to present yourself before you get married. I like reading books like that because it gives me a different way of looking at things and it helps me grow. She talked about one thing she did while she was in the process of getting rid of her old baggage. She wrote down all the sins (in detail) that she committed weather big or small. She wrote down detailed relationships and things she did, and basically everything that she knows would not be pleasing to God. She said by the end, she had pages on top of pages of things and she burned it. The burnt paper was a symbol of her letting it go and moving forward. I thought, wow tons of pages? No I won’t have that much, let me try and get this over with. Little did I know, that was far from the truth.

I began to write all my junk and baggage from over the years and I surprised myself. I sat in a coffee shop as the rain fell. I got to one page and there was another. I kept writing and writing and the rain kept falling. Before I knew it, I was up to page 5 (yikes). I said there is no way I did this much stuff that wasn’t pleasing to God. He laughed and told me babygirl keep writing. I ended up with 7 pages of mess I did or said (I'm sure there was more)! I was shocked. I thought I did a little wrong and God humbled me and showed me, my flaws were great. He told me to understand I'm a sinner and was even worse back then, but he loves me anyway.

I burned the pages and let them go because God doesn’t bring up my past so why should I? I decided to move on and not let those things take hold of my life any longer. You, like me, may feel like you have one or two things to deal with, when in reality we are all jacked up. You have tons of baggage and you don’t even know it. I encourage you to let God help you unpack. Let him take your load off you. If you confess and ask for forgiveness, he is just and true and he will forgive you. You must first admit however that you have an issue oppose to hiding it. I'm sure you don’t want to carry those things around so let go and let GOD. You need his helping hand more than you think!

I love you and I pray you have a happy Sunday and blessed week. Thanks to all who purchased my book God Set Me Up this weekend; I LOVE YOU!. If you need a copy contact me ASAP.
